About Us
Founded in 1994, Evensong Music started out as a way for me to publish my own music without the hassles of dealing with large publishing companies. Evensong distrubutes music for composers, but unlike a traditional publisher, we allow the composer to retain ownership of their music and we return one half of the net profit (what remains after printing costs) to the composer. We believe that composers should be able to have more say over what happens to their music!
I am happy to report that we have added composers Steve Best, David Gotch, Robert Lind, Randy Runyon, Godwin Sadoh, and most recently Roman Krasnovsky Henry Martin and Patrick Davis to our roster. Visit our Organ Music page to access their pages or click on their names to go directly. Also, do note we have a substantial and continually growing Reprint catalog, which contains mostly French music that has passed into the Public Domain.
On this site you will find several sections, each devoted to a different instrument or area of composition. There are links for full-length audio files and preview pages of many of the pieces, as well as some links to take you to my personal site and favorite links. There are also organ sample sets for Martin Dyde's Hauptwerk, or Kloria's MyOrgan.
