Joseph Boulnois (1884-1918) was a student of Guilmant and Vierne, and wrote quite a bit of music, most of which was unpublished, as he died in 1918 near the close of World War 1 at the tender age of 34. He was highly respected by his colleagues, and showed great talent.

These 4 miniatures last 1 and a half to two minutes for a total of 7 minutes for the set. Rich impressionist harmonies and unusual twists of melody make them a refreshing addition to your repertoire.
